[ENG] “What is not named does not exist.” That is the great difference—and at the same time, the thread that connects Anna in Barcelona in 2013 with Anna in Barcelona in 2024. A before and after rooted in a city recognized around the world. But what story have we been told about this city and its art? Just an introduction to (im)possible perspectives on what it was, is, and could become—with colonialism, slavery, whiteness, and (de?)coloniality as central threads that shape the narrative.
A critical essay grounded in an ethnographic, subjective, and relational gaze upon the city of Barcelona.
